There's an elephant in the room here, and that is that Edward IV, though a Plantagenet, was a bastard as he was NOT Richard II's son, His mother, Cecily Neville had a liaison with an archer in her husband's regiment. The rules of ascent to the Throne of England strictly require that the would-be King must be a) born of royal bloodline, and b) be born within wedlock(legitimately). The rise of the bastard Edward IV has nullified the claims of every king and queen from that point onward, right up to AND INCLUDING Elizabeth II, the current queen.
