@Alec Edgeworth: I was cleaning up a post by Gol D. Roger who wrote "No there not responsible that’s there job" So I wrote: "No THEY'RE not responsible. It's THEIR job". They're(they are) and Their(possessive of Them) replacing the incorrect There(in the distance). Your comment is correct though, it's just that I get frustrated with words used incorrectly in sentences.

You'd be surprised how many people ACTUALLY DO CARE! I'm NOT alone in wanting to see proper and correct use of the English language here.

@numbskullent4091 And I hope that we've cleaned up our act, but looking at ignorant, insular America, sadly, no we haven't cleaned up our act, although the British, Aussies, New Zealanders and Canadians have tried their best, it's the ignorant, insular Americans who stuff it all up, including their woefully-corrupted use of the English language. There is a cure, though, and that is for ALL American schools from kindergarten(german for "Children's Garden), through primary and secondary levels, and up to college and university level, for the subject of English to be taught ONLY by British, Australian or New Zealand-born teachers armed with the Oxford English Dictionary, the Webster's dictionary consigned to its rightful place - the rubbish bin.

@paulbenoit6076 Not a "Grammar Nazi", just had a gut-full of atrocious writing based on total ignorance of the basic use of the English language. I suspect that the writers had either utterly incompetent English teachers or didn't even bother going to school.

Those criminal cops should be SENTENCED TO DEATH, not just the ones who murdered Mr Hooks but EVERY POLICE OFFICER IN GEORGIA SHOULD FACE THE DEATH PENALTY for what was done to Mr Hooks.
