  1. It should NOT come down to one of the two parties protecting democacy and the other trying to destroy it. Voting rules and proceedures, electoral boundaries and all other matters pertaining to federal, state and local council elections MUST be taken out of the hands of the political parties and placed FIRMLY in the hands of an INDEPENDENT REGULATORY AUTHORITY! And neither Democrats nor Republicans should have any right of appeal against decisions made by this authority, as the authority would be there to protect the PEOPLE'S democratic voting rights!
