  79. Under a compulsory vote system, fringe groups with only a minority following(KKK, Nazis, Alt Right etc.) would see their vote cancelled out by the mainstream party votes. The fringe groups couldn't possibly hope to gain any kind of foothold in the system, no matter how much money they spend on their campaigns. But under the USA optional vote system, a fringe group can muster enough voter support to "get a foot in the door" if, through apathy, other voters, who might've voted Democrat or Republican in large enough numbers, stayed home and watched that umpteenth rerun of "Leave It To Beaver" instead of getting out to the polling station and voting. Those fringe parties would use democracy to "get into power" but once in, there goes democracy down the gurgle-hole(drain).

Automatic voter registration is almost an improvement but still not enough as you need to go to the next step, COMPULSORY VOTING because voting isn't so much a right as it is more a duty to your country. Also, electoral boundaries and the conduction of elections, from Federal down to State and local council level must be conducted by a statutory authority completely at several arms' length from either party so that neither party can influence the process. The original intent of YouTube was for amateur videographers(of various qualities, from downright awful, up to reasonably good) to present their productions on a worldwide platform. But since Google gobbled up YouTube, many of those early content creators have been pushed aside in favour of the likes of David Pakman and Kyle Kulinski, as well as the so-called legacy media outlets. As for me, I don't upload regularly, I upload only when I have something to upload. My channels(Trams & Trains and General Videos) are a hobby. I did not set out to make money from them, and I have no intention of ever making money from them. I'm happy if enough people enjoy the videos I do make and upload.

From those winning candidates, the Prime Minister then selects his/her "front bench" or "cabinet", i.e. Minister for Roads and Transport, Minister for Education, Minister for Health, etc. Those not selected to become ministers form the "back bench", they remain simply as members representing their constituents. The leader of the losing party is then the "Leader of the Opposition", choosing a "shadow cabinet" and those missing out on shadow cabinet portfolios sit as back-benchers in the opposition. The President's role in all this is simply to witness the swearing of, or affirmation(preferably affirmation in order to keep religion out of governmental matters) of oath of office. Other than welcoming presidents or governors-general, or members of monarchies, the president lies dormant in the day-to-day running of government. For all this to work properly requires one MAJOR INGREDIENT! And than ingredient is COMPULSORY VOTING!!!!!

We do NOT directly vote for the Prime Minister unless you live in the electorate which is represented by the person who holds the position of the Prime Minister, even then you're only voting for him or her to be your Member of Parliament, not to be P.M.
