  1.  @kronsild  No! I'm not an American(and am I glad of that!). I'm an Australian! I would advocate that the Iranian people take a leaf from Romania's civilian population. The Romanians successfully rid themselves of the tyrant Nicolai Caicescu in the late 1980s or so and the first Americans knew of it was when they read about it in their local rags while gulping down that last drop of their morning coffee.

  3.  monokhem  Religious regimes want things all their own way. They are not the slightest bit interested in how their theologies adversely affect the populace at large. A secular democracy. like America is SUPPOSED to be, cannot and should not favour one religion over another. Indeed secular democracies should be blind to religious differences. But Iran is NOT a secular democracy. Instead Iran is ruled over by a fundamentalist Islamic regime which is unelected and rules over the supposedly elected prime minister(or whichever title he goes under) and his "cabinet" and can overrule any law brought in by that supposed "government". Thus Iran IS a dictatorship.

They answer only to their particular variety of "Skydaddy"(god), from which they assume some mythical "divine right" to rule over the populace, much like ancient monarchies ruled in England, Europe and elsewhere. That is how "they are not the slightest bit interested in how their theologies adversely affect the populace at large." Monokhem, you're the only one making a fool of him/herself here.
