  1. Sorry, but France's history is what makes French men appear effeminate. I've learned German for an interest, so in German I would say: Sie ist eine Franzoesche Man und ihre freundin is eine Franzoesche frau". This goes back to World War 2 and also World War 1 when an ungrateful France was rescued from German occupation by *allied forces(British, Australian, New Zealander and Canadian, I exclude the USA deliberately as the USA does as little as possible while stealing the credit from the allies for their efforts). Without the allied forces, France would be speaking German today, and not by choice because Europe would still be under Nazi rule.
