  2. The Republicans ARE FOREVER tied to the STIGMA of Trump and will NEVER live it down. They were proto-Trumpian before anyone had even heard of Donald Trump. They have held on to an elitist Born-To-Rule-By-Divine-Right mentality ever since the party was formed in the 18h or 19th Century and fiercely begrudge and obstruct their opposites(Democrats) at every turn if they find themselves on the opposition benches.
