@1TheNews I'm a realist, therefore an atheist! And that (atheism) is what America SO DESPERATELY NEEDS right now as an antedote to the putrid, toxic evangelism that is infecting the USA. Watching on from here is Australia, I see America as a failed state in spite of finally having some adults in your White House.

@1TheNews I've come to a vastly different conclusion! I've come to believe we should stop pussyfooting around these ridiculous beliefs and call them out for what they are. It's for damn sure those christians, including the extremists of the evangelistic churches certainly DO NOT respect us atheists so they DO NOT deserve any respect from us!

@HIPsteHeero What I'm saying is to stop pussyfooting around the extremist evangelistics and call them out for what they truly are, and they don't accept or respect even other christian views, let alone the views of us atheists. Respect is a two-way street. They(evangelists) demand respect for themselves and their ridiculous beliefs but are never willing to reciprocate.

@HIPsteHeero Well, perhaps it just peters out when the evangelists get tired of arguing their ridiculous points, because they'll be the ones wanting to drag out the arguments where the atheists will have made their(our) points plain and clear, and want to move on.

@pooryorick831 Evangelist christians have recently gotten involved in politics in a toxic fashion, it's true, but outside that, evangelistic christianity is mainly a putrid, toxic form of the superstition called christianity that it has been for years.

@paulraymond1804 The words "atheist" and "agnostic" have become interchangeable in recent times, though the words have their own meanings. An atheist does not believe in any deities while an agnostic has no knowledge of any deities. Being atheist is, then, not the "bridge too far" that you say. You simply "do not buy into the religious dogma of christianity" and you do not accept the concept of a mystical, magical "skydaddy". An agnostic has "no knowledge" of any gods, but a man born in the 1600s would be "agnostic" about the existence of a "great southern land", simply because he had never heard of it as it was more than a century before James Cook. An Amish person could be agnosic about modern technology, though he'd be more of an atheist in that regard as the Amish don't use or believe in modern "gadgets".

@paulraymond1804 I'd say yes. Simply because there is no clear and tangible evidence for a god. You may as well believe in the "Flying Spaghetti Monster"(sorry, I couldn't go "pasta" including that analogy LOL) or a "Flying Teapot"(I prefer coffee LOL again). The belief in any kind of god is just plain ridiculous. Science has not yet disproved god but is slowly but surely chipping away at the belief.

All that has been said here shows absolutely that America is unfit to govern itself and needs to be governed by an outside government. America should have its sovereignty stripped away and become 50 territories of Canada.
