It's because Google controls YouTube. Google has become a corporate giant whose only loyalty is to other corporate giants. Google must be FORCED BY LAW to RELINQUISH its hold on YouTube with NO monetary compensation WHATSOEVER!

@crusindc5282 YouTube was NOT originally set up as a vehicle for advertisers. YouTube was established as a platform for amateur and semi-professional video content makers to have their efforts seen by a world audience WITHOUT the pressures of having to conform to a "broadcast standard". The "wheat" was quickly sorted from the "chaff" by viewers who "liked" and supported by subscribing to some channels that "made an effort" to produce a competently produced and presented video, while those who just pointed and shot, with no thought to what they were making, soon fell by the wayside. It is ONLY since Google took over YouTube that YouTube's purpose has been corrupted to the point where corporate "legacy" media has been allowed to "drown out" the voices of independent operators like David Pakman, Kyle Kulinski and others, and make life difficult for ordinary video content makers by sticking technical and legislative obstacles in our way.
