This sort of thing DOES NOT and CANNOT happen in Australia! 1) Voting is COMPULSORY in Australia. 2) Local, state/Territory and Federal elections are organised, managed and overseen by an INDEPENDENT body called the AUSTRALIAN ELECORAL COMMISSION, which is separate from, and independent of any and all the political parties or single-policy splinter groups who seek a mandate to be in Parliament House, either in the House of Representatives or Senate, federally, or the Legislative Assembly or LegislativeCouncil chambers for state/territory governments or city/town/shire councils. This is the very reason why Australia has REAL democracy and America's democracy is nothing but a shambolic mess.
