A lot of this trouble could've been avoided if corporations were NOT classed as citizens of a nation with full citizenship rights. Only individual people should be considered as citizens and enjoy the rights and privileges of citizenship. Corporations, though run by individual people, are not, of themselves, individual people, and thus they SHOULD NOT enjoy such rights and privileges. If corporations WERE NOT given such status, then they'd have no rights to lobby governments against laws meant to benefit the ordinary individual citizens of a nation. Corporations were granted citizenship in the 19th Century, that's when the rot set in.

+Mark Keller: That would apply to the individuals who are running the corporations, they, as individual people who act in unconscionable fashion when in charge or working for corporations would be held responsible for their actions if deemed severe enough to be tried in court and suffer life imprisonment, I wouldn't go as far as the death penalty for this, however, I'd save the death penalty for wife-bashers who kill their spouses, or paedophile priests.

Corporations, as such, AREN'T people, but they are run by people, and those people must be held accountable for their actions, at ALL levels, from the Chairman of the Board(bored! LOL) right down to the tea lady in the staff canteen. Corporations don't deserve any respect. They are there simply to provide some kind of service or manufacture a product, or whatever other role they may have. The corporation should have no rights, only responsibilities, only the individual people working for the corporation should have the rights. If the corporation commits a crime, you shut it down and the board has no right of appeal against the shut-down.
