Nancy Pelosi effectively weakened the Congress action against Donald Dump by not including the emoluments violations, of which Donald Dump was DEFINITELY GUILTY! If she'd added the emoluments violations, it would be Strike 1: Obstruction Of Congress - Strike 2: Bribery of foreign governments to affect domestic(USA) electoral outcome - Strike 3: Emoluments Violations! Post-Trump, America is going to need to COMPLETELY redraft its constitution to completely STRIP the Presidency of ALL executive powers, leaving the position as purely ceremonial save for one power. to open and close parliamentary sessions. The executive power in government should be vested in a Prime Minister, operating on advice from a cabinet of other ministers for various portfolios, basically, adopt the Australian model. It certainly works for us! Even with the flaws that does have, the Australian Parliamentary governmental system is a million times SUPERIOR to America's.

Perhaps Nancy Pelosi's best bet is to hold off until the General Election has been run and won. And if the Democratic Party then controls the Senate(as well as the House of Representatives[Congress]), If Donald Dump gains the Presidency again, he won't hold it for long! The Senate will receive all the papers from the congress impeachment proceedings and a FAIR AND PROPER trial of Trump can then take place and Donald Dump will then be on a one-way trip to.... Is Levenworth Prison still in use? And there must be ABSOLUTELY NO PARDON! If Donald Dump is voted out, as we all hope he will(except for the utter brain-dead morons who vote for him regardless), no matter. The senate trial can still proceed and, on verdict of "guilty" be sent to Levenworth FOR LIFE with NO PAROLE AND NO CHANCE OF PARDON!

@standupree8252 It was the stated intention of the founding fathers as they drew up America's constitution, that religion was to play no part in the governance of the new nation. It wasn't intended to stop religious practice, whichever creed it may be, but NO particular religion was to be allowed to influence the day-to-day governance of the USA. This century has nearly completed 19 years, and 2020 will see the first two decades complete, and in that time, combined with the last 20 of the 20th Century(1981 to 2000) has seen the evangelicals try their damnedest to "tear down that wall of separation" so that they could shove their own brand of religion down EVERYONE ELSE'S THROATS!

Because Mitch McConnell will be blatantly biased as to allow Trump to help steer the senate trial procedure, this can NOT in ANY WAY be seen as vindication of Donald Dump if he gets off by the senate voting to acquit him. The senate(and I've deliberately devalued the US senate in my own small way by writing "senate" all in lower-case letters) trial will be seen around the world as completely tainted by corruption and America's legal and governmental system will be seen around the world for what it TRULY is, PUTRID CORRUPT WITHOUT HOPE OF REDEMPTION!
