  2. I't is NOT incorrect to call the format DVD "Minus" R. If You insist on calling DVD+R as DVD "Plus" R, then conforming to mathematical symblols use, then DVD-R Should OF COURSE be referred to as DVD "Minus" R. Otherwise you should refer to DVD+R as DVD "cross" R.

  3. "Plus Or Dash" sounds utterly stupid. Either refer to "Plus Or Minus"(referring to the mathematical purpose of the symbols), or refer to "Cross or Dash" (referring to shape of the symbols).
