AFAIK, there are no more missile cruisers in the Black Sea. There are submarines and other ships that fire them, however. Here's me hoping the West will lease Ukraine a few modern frigates. It would be great if they could promote a submarine to a special military airplane (temporary) -- i.e. blow it up.

The immigration rules haven't changed in 40 years, and now they are so important that Ukraine must be abandoned for them? And without any republican able to say how exactly they should be changed? Putin and trump want to turn the USA into a dictatorship like Russia, where lawlessness rules, the laws of the jungle. Putin doesn't need to fight the USA if he can make it a nation friendly to dictators. So to those idiots who say "what is a war in Europe to me", we must say that if Russia is not defeated quickly, it may mean the end of the USA as a free country. Because Russia is not free. Except for the rich, most people live in a form of slavery, not seeing the fruits of their labours.

Russia claiming all the achievements of the Soviets is absurd. Much of the fighting was done by Ukrainians and Belarussians, who were all Soviets at the time.

"Brexit ... not connected to Russia" That is not true, there was a MASSIVE disinformation campaign by Russian bot farms and planned by Russian operative prior to the Brexit referendum. 2016 was the first time that it became obvious that the Russians were interfering with western democratic processes, and Brexit + the Trump presidency were the result. Also, there are many indications the UK Conservative Party is compromised by Russian oligarchs -- to the point that one of them has been made a Peer in the House of Lords. The main goal for Brexit was to turn the UK into a safe haven for the oligarchs' black money. But the weird thing is that still Boris Johnson was so enthusiastic in his support for Ukraine. So it isn't quite as black-and-white as I stated, the Tories are not (yet) totally subservient to Putin like the Republicans are in the USA. Perhaps that can be a sign that the Russian oligarchs would like this war to stop, which makes total sense.

The problem with Ukraine and NATO is that in order to become a NATO member, ALL members must agree. That includes Hungary and Turkey, which would probably not accept Ukraine. Like Turkey has now for half a year been blocking the application of Sweden. But we will not know how things will develop until Ukraine actually applies to NATO, for which this war must first be concluded. So I understand the frustration of the gentleman in the video, but it will probably be some time before Ukraine becomes a NATO member. And similarly for the EU, of which Hungary is also a member.

That those S-300 systems failed to spot the Storm Shadows may have something to do with the salvo of Anti-Radiation missiles that preceded them. The radars were either turned off, or targeted. But it is a great video anyway. You can almost imagine the robot sitting inside them lowering the window and giving them the finger 😂

Dutchy here. Not all our dams are made of stone or concrete, we have plenty of dirt dams as well. The man can definitely be right about the rodents, especially the Muskrat (an invasive species from the Americas) is a pest that needs to be controlled to protect the dams. Because they make their burrows in such dams, significantly weakening them. We employ trappers to deal with the creatures, and we repair the damage they do. But if neglected, they will destroy the dams. So the problem isn't the construction of the dams, it is their maintenance. The failure shown at 7:20 could have been caused in this way. That said, the images at 8:00 look more like a dam that was simply overwhelmed, too low to stop the water. Once it crests the dam, the running water digs channels that can lead to the catastrophic failure of the dam.

France was warning the EU that if we let this drag on at the current rate, the EU will soon need to send its own soldiers to war. It shocks some, but it is a good shock. Right now we still have the choice to only send weapons. Soon we will no longer have that choice. It will be weapons AND soldiers. Hundreds of thousands of them.

Slava Ukraini! Ukraine will win this war. At some point, the Russian people will have had enough of Putin. Seeing how much pressure Putin is exerting through the media, it may well be sooner rather than later.
