"If it makes you emotional, it is usually a good indicator it might be misinformation". That is some EXCELLENT advice. This is widely applicable to all sorts of propaganda. Propaganda (ab)uses facts to give people the desired emotions. Because emoted people can't think straight anymore, and will react as the emotion dictates. It is easy to see the difference. If a story uses strong adjectives that draw out emotion, like "disgusting", "unfair", "unjust", "stupid", "sewage" etc, it is usually propaganda. Or just click-bait.
