  1. Also, pointing out that disasters like this one are becoming more frequent and more severe due to climate change is not scoring political points. That is just scientific fact. The weather experts predicted this decades ago, and people need reminding. How you respond to those facts, that is a political choice. But the facts don't care about anyone's political convictions. Climate change is real.

  2. And who is to blame? Dems normally get on with the job of helping people. Republicans make all this BS happen. Having a photo-op is not scoring political points. Because there will be harsh criticism when they DON'T have photo-ops.The People want to see their leaders visibly involved in helping them, and they have a right to see that. That is part of the job of being a leader. It shows that the suffering these people go through is taken seriously. However, spreading disinformation like Trump and many other MAGA clowns are doing, and withholding aid to blues states like Trump did when he was president, that is doing politics over the backs of victims. This is NOT a "both sides" issue.
