  1. There is something seriously wrong with the US justice system: why on earth do other judges think they can interfere with another case? There is the appeals system, that should be enough. If you think you have "absolute immunity", argue so before the court where a case is brought against you, and let Justice have its course. After the trial is completed, you can appeal its verdict if you think you have been unfairly treated. But a ruling not to dismiss a case should not be something that can be appealed: letting a case proceed is always the safe option that does not violate anyone's rights. It is fundamentally impossible for injustice to be done by letting a court case proceed.

  2. About whether the President is an officer of the United States: That is a moot point: the Constitution itself calls the Presidency an office of the United States, in Article 2, Section 1, second sentence. "He [the President] shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years".
