  1. I do not rejoice in the personal suffering of Donald Trump. Seeing the wrath of the Law descend on someone who long thought himself above the Law is awesome and terrible to behold. But I am glad that it looks like the USA is robust enough to deal with this existential threat. Though it still is a close thing.

  2. Don't think that e.g. Ron DeSantis is better than Trump. It isn't Trump persé that is doing the damage. He has a lot of help. E.g. Mitch McConnell, and that smirking devil-worshipper Johnson, and a thousand other politicians that need to face legal consequences for their acts.
