I love that in a civil case you can infer adversely from pleading the 5th. And it makes sense. The question in a civil case is not whether Trump needs punishment, but whether someone else was mistreated by Trump. Usually this comes down to having to explain acts by Trump. Why did he (or those in his employ) act in a certain way towards the claimant? If Trump can not answer those questions without incriminating himself, than obviously Trump mistreated the claimant. Unlike with a criminal case, there can be no reason for Trump not to answer that question unless said behaviour was directly part of a crime. Otherwise he should be able to answer the question without incriminating himself.
