  1. I find it disturbing that criminal cases could be made to wait on one another. Justice delayed is Justice Denied. The only time where the agenda of a defendant becomes relevant is when he needs to actually take the stand. I fear it may be Trump's tactic to force cases to a later date because of a case that he will then have delayed, so that delaying one trial (e.g. with the help of Cannon) can delay all the others as well. The US Legal System must not fall for this tactic: Cannon will happily delay his trial until long after the 2024 election. She can not be given precedence over all the other cases: let hers come last.

  3. While I agree that the right to privacy of a defendant should be protected, that must come with the responsibility for the defendant to refrain from giving false representations of the trial. If Trump or his representatives or e.g. MAGA politicians are allowed to comment on the substance of the case in any way, then the trial MUST be televised to keep the public record straight. But then I think the USA is extremely lax in its prosecution of Obstruction of Justice / Witness Tampering / Jury Influencing laws. ANY elected official who comments on the substance of ANY case breaks these laws, and should be punished. But the MAGAts are doing this brazenly, practically every day. Of course there is the debate immunity clause -- but chats with reporters definitely do not come under that. The Constitution nowhere says that representatives should speak to reporters as part of their Duty. The US legal system should be ashamed of itself!
