  1. Trump lets deadlines expire in order to delay the case. He expects the rules to be waived for him, and that he will be allowed to do things even after the deadline. Because he feels above the rules that apply for everybody else, and people have all his life bent over backwards to accommodate him. But I love how in this case, a deadline is a deadline. That is the sign of a Judge who takes himself, his court and Justice seriously.
