  1. I would think that it would be impossible to have a case moved or changed in any way between conviction and sentencing. After conviction, both the prosecution and the defense are DONE. In fact, they were done when they had concluded their closing statements. The Jury has reached a verdict, and the only step to be taken is for the judge to determine the sentence. The only thing the defense can do is to patiently wait and sit in court at the appointed time, and afterwards file for an appeal.
