  1. "Absolute Immunity" is not compatible with democracy. The foundational principle in a democracy is that EVERYBODY is subject to the Law. Sure, some people are allowed to do some things others may not, like a cop can run a red light. But that does not mean that cop is allowed to just crash into any car that was on the intersection before he got there. If some people were to have "absolute immunity", those people would be the de-facto dictators of that society.
