  2. I disagree. Like what we see in Russia, there would be elections. And the outcome of those elections would be honoured. It is just that the outcome is known before hand: a 85% vote in favour of the incumbent.

  3. I am AMAZED and honestly SHOCKED that the US Justice system is taking this seriously. Drumpf should be prosecuted for a frivolous argument instead. Anyone with even a limited understanding of the Rule of Law knows that his claim of absolute immunity is frivolous. Such immunity is fundamentally incompatible with Democracy, and even with enlightened despots. If Trump were immune, the Constitution would be useless, not worth the paper it is written on. Congress a stage for high-paid actors. The Senate a charade. SCOTUS a collection of fools engaging in therapy sessions. The USA would have become a dictatorship with one preeminent Power: the President. And the second it would be found that the President has immunity even from criminal acts, Biden will act on his new-found rights to remove his opponents from the equation.
