  1. ​ @grubby5tw  Russia is loosing 5 or more soldiers for every Ukrainian. As Russia only has three times the population of Ukraine, Russia will run out of men before Ukraine does. Also, because Ukraine has better care for the wounded, many of the Ukrainian casualties will be able to return to the fight. And it doesn't help that 1 to 2 million men of fighting age have fled Russia. But that is what you get when you try human-wave tactics in a modern war. Nor does it help that Putin needs a strong internal force to protect him from his own people and China. So Putin can only bring a small portion of his population to bear against Ukraine, much smaller than Ukraine can. And finally, it aren't just the men that are fighting for Ukraine. Many women are fighting for their country as well. Russia doesn't stand a chance. It never did after their rapid advance was stopped in the first week of the war.

  2. "Help China to be less dependent on Western suppliers" China is not so much dependent on Western suppliers, it is dependent on Western customers. Even more so than Russia is. China is doomed if it gets on the West's bad side.

  4. "Every war ends with peace" Not so, Shoigu. There is no peace between China-sustained North Korea and South Korea. Nor is there peace between Taiwan and China. From those two examples you can learn one thing: it is better to not be dependent on China.
