We feel your pain. Please make yourself heard, and find like-minded people with whom you can join forces. If the UK doesn't quickly change its course, things will get MUCH worse, and only loud and insistent protests can achieve that. Hopefully.

They share in the blame, for not being more vocal in attacking the obvious lies of Brexit. Brexit happened only because of feeble opposition. For example, Corbyn had Bozo by the crown jewels, but then let go because he thought he could win the 2019 election. The cancer that is Brexit has been growing for decades, and it was allowed to grow and fester by all those who just shrugged their shoulders. So, while I do pity them, they are at least partially responsible. Now they have to pay the price.

@Lucretia9000 Has that law been properly passed & ratified then? But regardless, the government will be very lucky if the coming demonstrations will just be mere "annoyances". It will soon come to the point that life in prison is better than outside, for many...

The biggest problem in the UK is not even the lack of drivers, but that a whole lot of transportation businesses have become non-viable. So in spite of all government efforts (???) there will soon be less drivers on the roads, not more.

@piccalillipit9211 "determined to go out on one last high" Well put. I have some hopes that the sane half of Britain will now discover the power it has, as most other European nations discovered two centuries ago. And discover along the way that those Gammons who intimidate everybody are, in fact, a (hopefully small) minority.

I think it was wise of Labour to not be vocal while there was nothing they could have done. But right now, the time has come to organise some serious protests, and Labour should take the lead. They should also vehemently attack the Tory lies.

@ausbrum Neo-capitalism has made all those books by the likes of Dickens very relevant today...

Exactly. And once those companies have gone under, it will take a long time and a lot of effort to rebuild the network. It is extremely vexing. But the Gammons need to finish their course at the University of Hard Knocks, and the other UK citizens need to learn how to protest and keep a rogue government in check.

@briane5706 Think so? If so, that has nothing at all to do with the law or the police, but ONLY with the spine-less sheeple that deserve to live in bankrupt plague island. It is time to show if they deserve a better government or not. One that does not rob them.

@romanjimenezgil By saying goodbye to the EU, the UK said goodbye to their old privileges. When they want to rejoin, they will have to show their good intentions by signing on to the whole deal. No more exceptions for England. That means bye-bye pound (not that it will be worth anything by that time).

"despite the Beatles" That may be a true Brexit dividend: the situations causes so much pain, frustration and anger that some excellent musicians are sure to stand up.
