The simplest explanation for this attack is that it is a false-flag operation by Putin. If this had been an attack by any other group, both daughter and father would be unlikely targets. Putin, however, has been on a murder campaign against potentially dissenting oligarchs & "supporters". And he loves making dramatic events of them as warning to others. There is a very small possibility this was done by some internal rival. But that rival would be extremely dumb to announce his presence in this way, as surely the FSB will hunt him down in no time. If there is plotting against Putin, we will hear nothing off it until Colonel Clumsy has made his fatal move that causes Putin to fall out of the open window or has his accidental discharge.
