  1. Here is an idea for TimeGhost: analyse the rise of various dictators / populists in previously democratic countries. Might prevent some new ones from occurring?

  2. Stagnation is not necessarily bad. The only reason stagnation is considered a dirty word is because much of our economic systems are based on inflation -- i.e. growth. Without inflation and growth, speculation is doomed to loose money. As speculation does not contribute anything, I would consider that a good thing. Investment is not the same as speculation, real investment is a good thing. Using shares to gather dividends, not to sell them them when their "value" has risen.
