  1. You think anti-radiation technology is sitting still? I bet that in the modern theater of war, anything that switches on a radar is toast. As in the invasion of Iraq, all SAM sites will be plotted beforehand and will have a brief visit from a cruise missile, this time no doubt the ground-skimming stealth variant.

  2. ​ @donaldclifford5763  The way he describes it, the radar is used to steer the bomb to the target, but only in telling the bombs the coordinates of the ship. The bombs still need GPS to find out where they are in relation to the ship coordinates.

  3. We are barely scratching the surface of what is possible with modern processors. But the breakthrough technology here is communications and radar technology not (so much) processing. The bombs are still relatively dumb: they just fly to where they are told using GPS coordinates.
