Elias is absolutely right about the total Justice system failing us. The courts, all courts, have shown Trump extraordinary leeway to even break the Law during the trial. Literally any other person in the USA who did the same things would have been in jail right now. For Justice to be Justice, it needs to be no respecters of person. The ruling needs to be the same based on the evidence and the circumstances, regardless of who stands before the Judge. That is why Lady Justice is depicted with a blindfold. The USA has several triers in the Justice system, and that is WRONG.

Oh, he will be held accountable alright. When he stands before God and has to explain himself. He won't be able to find an advocate then, unless he has a radical change of heart. And I even believe he will be held accountable during his life. I believe he will lose in November, and all these trials will run their course during Biden's second term, and convict him to prison sentences. But it will take EVERYBODY who is not enthralled by Trump to go out and VOTE BLUE, all the way.

@vedagower-my5wy While the Constitution doesn't explicitly exclude self-pardon, a President self-pardoning himself is akin to him having total immunity. It would break the "three co-equal branches" principle on which the Constitution is based, elevating the Executive above both the Legislative and the Judicial branches, placing the President above the Law. So I hope that there will be some brave souls who will challenge any self-pardon, because they will win. And if they don't, it is time to impeach the SCOTUS members who opined against, because this is the most basic principle of the Rule of Law. Not even a King can self-pardon.
