  1. Excellent points. If someone thinks they can improve on Tolkien's work, by all means, create your own world. Tolkien created Middle Earth, who do these people think they are to somehow "improve" it.

  2. People who think black characters need to be inserted to make the message more acceptable have not understood Tolkien's work. In case no-one noticed, the LOTR and Middle Earth are absolutely FULL of racial interactions, both good and bad. Anti-Racism is a big theme in the LOTR. Hell, the man even manages to make Orcs relatable and explains that their aggression was due to the force that drove them.
