I appreciate some actors for the reasons you mention, like Harrison Ford. However, most of them have fallen into the trap of thinking the adoration they get for making their bosses loads of money actually means something, or even worse, proves that they are better than the rest of us. Most have just been lucky.

Right on. I sometimes dreamed of working in that industry. That quickly stopped when I learned they reserve term "talents" only for the main actors. Which means that this industry is extremely ungrateful & disrespectful to those thousands of other talented people who put in a LOT more talent, skill, time & effort into a movie than most actors do, who have had to hone their skills and expertise for years or even decades.
