  1. If simple drones can make it through so easily, just imagine how proper cruise missiles would, if equipped with back-up inertial navigation for when GPS is jammed. Looks like Russia is not worried at all about a possible NATO nuclear strike. Which once again proves how much the Kremlin lies. It knows NATO is defensive only and would never attack Russia unless Russia strikes first. It knows it has the monopoly on being an aggressor state, and makes full use of it, forcing other nations to invest heavily in defensive measures while not doing anything for itself. This also means that Russia knows it is defenseless against nuclear retaliation for e.g. a tactical strike. Which means that Russia will reserve the use of nukes for self-defense ONLY. It does not want to provoke retaliation, because it knows it can not defend itself against that. So there is a simple solution: bring the war to Russia itself, retaliating for strikes against Ukraine. Using pin-point strikes, take away its offensive capabilities. Such retaliations do not threaten Putin himself, so will not cause him to launch a nuclear strike.
