  1. I guess the media & commentators are comparing the current counter-offensive with the autumn counter-offensives in Ukraine. But without understanding that we only knew about the autumn offensives after Ukraine had broken through the Russian lines. I.e. after the Ukrainians had been shaping the battlefield for who knows how long. We only saw phase 3 (exploitation) of the autumn offensive, whereas we are now following the offensive from phase 1 (Preparation).
