  1. This again puts all those idiots clamouring about Taiwan into perspective. I believe it is a ploy to reduce support for Ukraine, by scaremongering about Taiwan. It is FAR more likely that China would take back outer Manchuria, than that it would try and invade Taiwan. For one, I doubt the west would hit China with sanctions for that. It would probably get even less of a response than the 2014 occupation of Crimea by Russia. A slight tap on the wrist, that would be all.

  2. Absolutely. After what Putin did with the Minsk accords, no western nation will ever again make an accord with that individual. The west may seem naïve in how it deals with dictators, but we are not stupid. Rather, Minsk was the last chance Putin will ever get to make peace. The next step for him will either be a short journey from a window, or a long stay at the ICC.
