  2. ​ @ianlouden7939  You are confusing LPG and LNG. LPG is an automotive fuel that is getting less popular, whereas LNG is natural gas in a form that can be transported by tankers. In the context of the Russian war, we are talking about LNG. LNG is mostly methane, LPG is mostly propane and butane. LNG is what comes out of the ground, LPG is a by-product of oil refinement. LNG is liquified through cooling and kept liguid through evaporation, LPG through pressure though cooling is required while liquifying it.

  4. While it is certainly a problem, the impact of drill heads freezing up is not that great. Drilling a new hole is no big deal. Having to write off a pipeline is another matter entirely. But somehow I get the impression that the Russia - EU pipelines will not see much use anyway going forward...
