  1. Russia and China are the last true empires (one can debate about India and Indonesia). Empires are by definition oppressive to at least part of their own citizens, and they have no right to exist anymore. There should be no nations on this planet where a powerful group oppresses other groups of people. Both Russia and China need to be broken up into nation-states. Then the people in each new nation can find their own path forward. For Russia, as Jake says, the break-up is in sight. China has its own problems, it will be interesting to see what happens there.
