  1. Excellent point, and very true. Same for Netherlands, though we also love the EU because we do a lot of trade & transport.

  2. Question: is the UK doing something similar right now? The pound has been pretty constant after taking the Brexit hit in 2016. However, the UK is import-heavy and greatly hinders its exports, so you'd expect the pound to drop. Brexiteers like to point to the constant pound to say the UK economy is doing fine, but to me it looks like a ticking time-bomb.
