  1. Eh, no, VE day is not celebrated by all other nations on May 8th. In the Netherlands it is celebrated on May 5th, the day the German forces surrendered to the Canadians in the Netherlands and in Sweden and Norway. For most other European nations, the war ended on May 8th 23:01 CET -- which happens to be May 9th 00:01 Moscow time -- and also in Ukrainian time.
