Comments by "TheEvertw" (@TheEvertw) on "This Evangelical Pastor Voting For Biden Says the GOP is a "Religious Cult"" video.
“We should have never gotten in bed with politics.” This has always been the Achilles heel of Christianity. Ever since 400 AD when Christianity became the state religion of the Roman Empire. Christianity always goes sour when church organizations meddle in worldly power. Separation of Church and State has been as much a blessing for the Church as it has been for society at large.

@ooreofe1 Nothing wrong with doing your civic duty, like voting a grifting, immoral sociopath out of office! The problem is that many church leaders in the US do not call out the many crimes of Trump. And I am not talking about personal crimes, but the public ones he did in the name of the American People, like making 500+ children orphans. Personally, I find it very difficult to understand why they do not call him out on that, because Trump is so against everything a Christian or even an American values. This brave man shed some light on it: MONEY. And Jesus was very clear about that: you can not serve both God and Money. A reckoning is coming for the church in the USA, for continuing to support Trump in spite of his crimes, which is a proof of them loving Money more than God.

Not Trump. Money. You can not serve both God and Money.

There will still be many well-meaning people who believe they are Christians that call themselves evangelicals. HOWEVER, ask yourself how you can support someone who openly breaks every commandment that Jesus gave us. How can you support someone who continuously lies to you. Who insults and belittles women. Who takes away money from the poor to give it to the rich. Who turns children into orphans, who knowingly did not lift a finger while exposing his people to a deadly disease, and even actively tries to take away the health insurance of millions during that plague. How can you support such a man? Know that by voting for him, you partake in his sins, certainly his public sins, the ones he commits in your name. Like the ones I mentioned above: these are all sins you will be held to account for, if you continue to vote for Trump.

@checkthisout6113 You should read the Bible. Jesus does not try to prevent people from sinning not does He criminalize people who did sin. Instead, He takes away the need to sin, in the case of abortion: the condemnation that people heap on single mothers. Also the amount of money the government collects and re-distributes to the poor is well less than what a compassionate person would give to the poor. It is because of the hardness of your hearts that the government started to do that. Social laws would never need to have been instated if people had walked in the Light.

This is a brave man, who stepped away from a healthy income because of his conscience. I'd much rather have this man in my pulpit than anyone who still supports Trump. Christianity is about conscience, people. God is not pleased with people who violate their conscience because of money.
