  1. One of the things that made Harry Potter so amazing is how Rowling nailed the behaviour of the British press in Rita Skeeter and her Quick Quote Quill. I really like the Dutch translation of that quill: The "Fantasiteer-veer", the Fantasi-cite quill.

  2. ​ @danielleisabellabanyard9968  Rowling pointed out valid worries & warnings against being overly quick to accommodate trans women, without thinking through the consequences for people with two X-chromosomes. She is pro-women, not against trans. And I do not blame her, as she has been abused and knows women need protection from (biological) men. As you may not know, men have gained access to some women prisons by claiming to be trans women, only to then start violating the defenseless female inmates. That example clearly demonstrates how right Rowling is. It may take some time, but I am sure society will come to this conclusion that as long as you have a functional male member, you are a man, and if you went through puberty as a man, you have no business in women's competitions.
