  1. You state that Linux is not better than Windows, just different. I disagree. For the vast majority of users, Linux is the superior solution on all metrics. Except if you are locked into using M$ Office or Adobe software. But for me that is even more of a reason to leave Windows. I hate companies that take more and more of my money for ever worsening services.

  2. Iceweasel was a fork of FireFox that omits some parts that did not have a GPL-compatible license. The problem was about the way Mozilla trademarked its logo's etc.

  3. While Windows does support a wider range of software, it is far harder and far more dangerous to avail yourself of it. The wide range of software available in Linux package managers is far, far more convenient and safer than having to browse the internet and decide whether it is safe to download & install a particular program in Windows. Also, Linux distros are far more complete right after installation than Windows. After a fresh install of Windows, I always feel disappointed with the result. Also because of the hassle it is to find & install all tools I need with Windows.
