  1. Ukrainian tactics are to let the Russians advance in the open, inflicting massive casualties with accurate artillery, then to out-flank them and cut them off from supplies. Thus they are able to have a 6.5 to 1 kill ratio in spite of being on the offensive. But the Russians have no alternatives. Ukrainians can pick them off when they remain static, and they do not have enough men to man the whole front sufficiently to repel serious attacks. Soon the ratio will be 10 to 1, with all the new untrained recruits and winter hurting the Russians more because of their lack of logistics. This Russian invasion is doomed.
