After a much smaller fire in the Mont Blanc tunnel, it was closed for three years. Granted, they took the opportunity to modernize the tunnel, but still, repairing that train tunnel will probably take years.

@banegas0411 Nothing can be broken so that it can't be rebuilt. But rebuilding this tunnel will take a year at least.

Those "electrical faults" in the railways have really hurt Russia. Those railways are out of action for many months (the bridge one) and years ( the tunnel one), meaning he can't import weapons through them, and he can't export oil through them. Nor does he have enough power to protect them once repaired. That doesn't leave him with many options. Putin has to admit that Ukraine is too tough a nut to crack. The longer he waits, the more painful things will become for him and his people, and at some point Russia will simply collapse. If he wants to survive & enjoy his old age, he should announce his retirement and elect his successor.

@robinbailey7460 The USA has become very susceptible to (foreign) propaganda. They are no longer able to differentiate between propaganda and factual information, as most of the news they consume is presented as propaganda (emotion and outrage centered).
