The failure around Avdiivka shows how spent the Russian army is, and how terrible its leadership. It was the last breath of the offensive capabilities of Russia. They tried to snatch victory from defeat, like Hitler did with the Ardennes offensive. But instead of achieving a strategic breakthrough, they lost three battalions for no gains at all. It is all downhill from here. One wonders how long until the Russian soldiers start to mutiny in earnest, instead of obeying these suicidal commands.
