  1. Americans saying "we built the greatest xxx in the world" makes me roll my eyes. Science is a team effort, where we all build on each other's shoulders regardless of which country we are from. And the Americans? They are world champion in bragging.

  2. Knowing that modern wafer steppers can reproduce movements to 5nm or even 3nm, I am not overly impressed by this setup, except for its large work space. But then, ASML has many more people working to achieve that precision than NIST.

  3. This machine uses many techniques that have been developed by ASML, the real masters of precision. Air bearings, laser interferometers, using black granite surfaces, etc, etc.
