  2.  @garychesters6994  The job opportunities are for work that most Britons consider beneath them, like driving lorries or picking fields or slaving in a restaurant. For most, working those jobs would mean a serious reduction of income compared to their previous one, even apart from the investment needed to learn to drive a lorry or work as a nurse or cook in a restaurant. Those are not unskilled jobs. Even for a job like picking fields you need to be much fitter physically than the average Briton is. So that is how there can be unemployment and a labour shortage at the same time.

Labour will improve education and opportunities for these people, the Tories will not. The Tories are actively dumbing down the nation, so they keep voting for them. Anyhow, Labour is also to blame, as they have lost contact with these people. If they started to campaign seriously on Tories being corrupt liars that are damaging for their circumstances, they would win a lot more seats.

  6. ​ @okonomimono9869  Or even "reams of things" that actively scare voters away. Like a focus on political correctness and equal rights. That is pretty scary when you are being undercut in the workplace by foreigners. Let alone climate change that they says is going to cost you a huge, unspecified amount.
