  1. The UK not following EU rules? The man is absolutely right. The UK is sovereign, so it only has to follow its own rules. Like complying with the W.A. and N.I.P. in full. And then, of course there are the rules concerning border traffic. Those are actually WTO rules which the UK adopted as a sovereign act. And all rules & regulations covering products exported to the EU, it is not the UK government that needs to follow those rules, but the UK businesses. So, the UK is already not following any EU rules. Mission accomplished, Mr Smug can go back to sleep.
