About the growth for the UK being expected to be the biggest in the G7, I don't know on what data these forecasts are based, but I find this extremely suspect, knowing that both UK export and UK services have taken terrible hits as a result of Brexit, and that these are expected to suffer further this year. Last year the HMRC also warned of lower tax revenues. I guess the UK government is very slow in accounting for the year 2021, and that in the mean time old data is being used.

  2. Not all taxes are going up. Some are going down. But most Britons will not benefit from that, only Shoesnake and his mates. But HMRC warned already last year that tax income was going down due to Brexit.

  4. It is not Parliamentary Privilege that allows government members to lie to parliament. It is Parliament itself. It is the ONLY body that has authority over the government, especially now that it no longer needs to take judicial review seriously. The only proper cause of action is a Motion of No Confidence. That is the obvious course of action when a PM can no longer be trusted to speak the truth. However, that is being blocked by the corrupt Tory party. Parliament derives its authority from the voters. So the next proper step is for a MASSIVE phone and letter-writing campaign by the voting public to their MP's to voice their anger at the way this is handled. Calling each other liars is not a proper way to hold a debate, as it moves debate out of the realm of fact into the realm of personal character. And a country is not managed based on personal characters. That is why lying is a capital crime in most parliaments. I have seen many ministers (including PMs) fired mere days after it was found they presented a lie to parliament.

And if anyone should take responsibility for the failure to prosecute Saville, it should be Jack Straw and/or Kenneth Clarke. But from what I have understood, it was simply that there was not enough hard evidence to convict Saville. Sexual crimes are exceptionally hard to prove.
