@jopmars8168 I disagree Germany will become a super power. The EU, however already are a super power and now have a clearer path ahead without UK opposition. It seems Putin shot himself in the foot when he incited the Brits to brexit.

@atomiccritter6492 the UK left the EU to escape its clamp down on money laundering, and you expected us to continue to allow a large part of the EU's finances to be cleared through Tortuga on the Thames? This is no punishment, it is a consequence for undermining our financial stability.

You did not discuss the elephant in the room, that the UK depends on its financial services, for which the EU is the biggest market. London is/was the financial heart of the EU. The EU can not accept that situation. It must have control over its financial heart. In the next few years, UK-based financial firms will be denied access to EU markets. This will destroy the UK economically.
